Q: What and/or who has inspired your photography practice?

A: My photography has been influenced by both hands-on experience and mentorship. Working with Josh at Breaking Ice Productions, helped me get comfortable shooting in real-world situations and capturing moments as they unfold.

Through my photojournalism class with Shelby Lisk, I started thinking more about storytelling and intention behind each image.

Those experiences pushed me to focus less on just getting a shot and more on what the image is actually communicating.
